Are you new to working out? Maybe you are not in the mood to plan a workout, or having trouble finding the motivation to work out alone. Whatever your situation may be, there is a solution. 

Whether you are a beginner at the gym, don’t have much fitness knowledge, or are an experienced individual who is not in the mood to plan a workout, group exercise classes can be helpful tools. The Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) offers a variety of group classes such as yoga, Pilates, spin, HIT, ab burner, Zumba and more. We also offer a handful of classes virtually if you want to do your workout from home.

Here are a few reasons to join a group exercise class:

  1. Build a good foundation and structure to use in your fitness and health journey.
  2. Be guided through a workout by a fitness professional who will assist you with form and technique.
  3. Be motivated during the whole workout by your instructor and peers.
  4. Get to choose from a variety of classes targeting diverse kinds of training methods.
  5. Get workout ideas and learn new exercises.
  6. Do not worry about creating a playlist for your workout.
  7. Reach your fitness goals while having fun and enjoying the workout with others.
  8. Meet new people and connect with fitness resources.
  9. All these SRWC classes are free!
